Bridge Beats Summer Concert Series Kicks Off TONIGHT!

Bridge Beats is a free concert series brought to you by the Omaha Parks and Recreation Department that kicks off this Friday, June 29th. Head on over to the base of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge from 6-9pm and enjoy the musical stylings of R-Style! Kids will enjoy entertainment from the Old Market Magician and activities like face painting and bounce houses! You can also enjoy delicious food from Taste of New Orleans and KGB food trucks as well as beverages from Shucks Fish House and Oyster Bar and shaved ice from “Cooler than Sno-Balls”. We recommend that attendees bring a lawn chair and a blanket for the event!

The R-Style Band is a multi-talented group made up of six members, all originating from the Omaha area. R-Style is a conglomerate of two bands that formed back in the 80’s. Former members from the bands ETC, and JAM Squad combined in 2003 to form the high-energy, show band today known as R-Style. The band takes its musical flavor from a wide variety of artists such as: The Temptations, Kool and the Gang, James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, and Prince, just to name a few.

Bridge Beats shows are every Friday night beginning June 29th through August 17th at the base of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge on the Nebraskan Riverfront. The family-friendly concert begins at 6pm and runs until 9pm.
